R IS FOR RAINBOW

While I have all of my aquatic dies out, I decided to play along with all of the ladies at Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers and their current challenge - "R is for Rainbow." It's been a minute since I've entered one of their challenges!

So, my silliness got the best of me! What's more fun than anthropomorphizing animals? Before I added the computer-generated sentiment I showed the idea to my husband and he immediately said, "Oh, a rainbow trout". These fabulous dies are more from Birch Press Designs. I've had them a while, but this is the first I've used them. This card is all scraps, from the polka dot background to the kelp, to the warm silver layered fishes.

Here's the link to the challenge, plus a link to NBUS - Never-Before-Used-Schtuff

  1. Thank you for the wakeup giggle this morning, Fran! Before I read your post or the amusing sediment, I said, "Eep! A rainbow trout!" Now I want to get fishies and make rainbow trout cards! This would have been on a stamping magazine cover back in the day, Fran! Thank you for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS! Hugs, Darnell

  2. Thanks, Darnell! A couple of days ago I was working with some jellyfish dies and musing about making a jellyfish Christmas card - something like, "Priscilla loved dressing up for Christmas". But I couldn't think of how a jellyfish would dress up at Christmas that would be a clever pun - help me out here, Darnell!

  7. This really made me smile, Fiona is “fintastic”!
P.S. some jellyfish are luminous, perhaps Priscilla could be dressing up for her “starring role” on the Christmas tree?
