OCTOBER SIMPLY CAS CHALLENGE

I love playing with scale, so I was delighted to see Diane's theme for October's Simply CAS Challenge is "Something TINY (keep it little)". After I completed my card I wondered why I didn't use a Halloween spider image like she did! 

Having said that, I thought first of baby chicks and a fun stamp set from Simon Hurley ("Spring Chicken" #HUR83351). I prepared a 5-1/2" square top-folded card base and smaller square panel from white watercolor card stock. I cut a circle into a piece of paper for a stencil and blended a pale blue clouded sky on the square panel and stamped my three tiny peeps with dark brown ink. Then I overstamped the sentiment and speckled egg with PTI "Fine Linen" ink. I stamped the peeps once again on a scrap of the watercolor paper, colored them with Copic markers, and fussy-cut their tiny bodies. I die cut a fence from some kraft wood-embossed cardstock and glued it and the chicks to the panel. I mounted the panel to the face of the card with some foam tape and added a small piece of fencing under the panel to the edge of the card.
