MORE SEASON'S GREETINGS

Continuing my push to get Christmas cards finished, I'm still using challenges to inspire me. Today, it's Freshly Made Sketches, although you'll see that I rotated the sketch ninety degrees counter-clockwise.

I used a couple of different manufacturers' snowflake dies (PTI for the larger one and Penny Black for the top layer) for this card, die cutting them from heavy-weight watercolor paper. The background is an iridescent blue vellum matted with navy blue cardstock and glued to an A2 card base. The sentiment was silver heat-embossed on dark blue iridescent card stock and die cut with a tag die from Stampin' Up. The final step was to add a silver stick-on snowflake with rhinestone.

  4. Fran, your card could not be more elegant! LOve that 90-degree turn, your stylish tag, and the silver heat embossing really brought it all home! Thanks so much for using my sketch to get those cards finished - and of course, for joining us again this week!
